Autumn Winter Collection '11/'12
Cotonificio Albini, always careful to design research and innovation, offers for Autumn/Winter 2011-2012 collection that highlights the excellence of the raw material, making it capable of meeting satisfaction with every expression and colour.
An area of key importance is the proposal of single yarn 100/1, present in all styles from Classical to Informalist to Sport, made in the precious cotton Giza 87, which gives the fabrics a silky, unique handle which does not change in time, like Piumino 100/120, Piquet 100 and Nuova Mussola 100.
Even more special and exclusive, the 100/1 has also been studied in a world exclusive yarn 100/1 melange, creating a fabric which are unique and exceptional. An extensive research has been made of different structures from the plain weave of Piumino 100/120 to the most varied and sophisticated structures of the Piquet 100 to Nuova Mussola 100.
In contrast to the very lightweight fabrics a part of the collection has been studied with a much heavier range of fabrics with more body, structured and particularly flannel fabrics with a colourful country designs.
Another novelty is the introduction of a new type of yarn: the nepp yarn which is both rustic yet sophisticated with the fabric becoming even more interesting in the piece dyed variations.
Another fundamental theme is that of the plain fabrics developed across all of the styles in different weights; in the classic part with very sophisticated plains which are made unique by the fineness of the yarn and the full bodied structures and in the sport part with close research given to utilising different finishing processes to make the fabrics unique and special.
At the heart of the plains theme is the proposal of blues which meets the returning trend of the blue shirt n not only dark blues in urban style but also very classical light blue revisited in new structures.
