Milano Unica for the Albini Group featured in Montecitorio
To mark the 11th edition of Milano Unica; The Albini Group - for the first time in its long history – will showcase at Montecitorio in the Caleffi shop window, the Thomas Mason Bespoke project; a collection of shirting fabrics which are available to the best custom tailors and shirt makers in the world.
"By displaying our fabrics” explains Silvio Albini, managing director of the Group “the aim is for the final consumer to understand how full and rich in fascination is the process of creating a made to measure shirt of the high quality.".
The showcase consists of three elements.
Firstly to communicate the raw materials used, moreover the finest Egyptian cotton and the story of Thomas Mason, a producer of high quality fabrics since 1796.
Through the second element the process of weaving from the cones of yarn is explored, underlining the craftsmanship in the production of these precious fabrics richly coloured with a unique and silky handle.
Lastly the emphasis is placed on the Made to Measure tailoring.
In summary, the Thomas Mason Bespoke project is a service for the best tailors and shirt makers around the world that is born from a typical British Identity of Thomas Mason, a means to support the craftsmanship of the customers of the Albini Group and to emphasise the quality of its products.

The Bespoke Collection contains over 650 different fabrics in various structures, made of double twisted yarn ranging between the 2/80’s up to 2/300’s the finest ever produced. The fabrics are not only offered in classic designs but also in special colours and patterns. The collection also contains a limited version with multi-coloured designs, typically British seasonal designs consisting of cotton-cashmere and cotton-linen, in addition to a section for pre-washed denim, perfect for a tailored sport shirt.
