I Cotoni di Albini, a company of the Albini Group specialized in the production of high-end yarns made with the most precious raw materials in the world, presents the novelties of its Autumn / Winter 2021-2022 collection, which focuses on noble, sustainable and traceable fibers.

After two years of research and work, started with the direct cultivation of organic cotton in Texas, New Mexico and California, the new Biofusion™ yarn is born. Made with a blend of organic American cottons, Biofusion™ is a 100% scientifically traced yarn thanks to a highly innovative method developed by Oritain, world leader in forensic science. With this revolutionary project, the final product can be traced from the cultivation field to the point of sale: a guarantee not only of the origin, but also of the quality and the ethical and sustainable production of the product.

I Cotoni di Albini closed 2019 with a turnover of 28.5 million euros, in increase of 21% on 2018, confirming the transversal growth trend on all markets.

I Cotoni di Albini are a response to the growing market demand for yarns that are increasingly performing and made with full respect for the environment and people.

In addition to Biofusion™, I Cotoni di Albini proposes for the new collection the first recycled product in very fine counts: Retwist™ is a recycled cotton yarn certified by GRS (Global Recycle Standard).

The Hemotion® project, dedicated to wool, has also been further developed: coming from Australia and certified mulesing-free, the wool is spun with a cutting-edge technique that takes inspiration from the cotton world to obtain a very fine, regular and high-quality yarn. Hemotion® yarn gives life to a highly performing, light and thermoregulating wool fabric, that is comfortable and with a natural elasticity, machine washable, crease-resistant and resistant to pilling.

The pure wool offer has been expanded by blends with noble raw materials, such as cashmere and Sea Island cotton, and sustainable ones, such as traced organic cotton.

Another important novelty of this collection are the mélange yarns, made of 100% Supima cotton in very fine yarn counts and scientifically traced by Oritain.
