Albini Donna: sustainability and femininity to wear

The new Albini Donna collection represents the concrete proof of the double commitment of the Albini Group:

– to create a more conscious and responsible fashion

– to give life to durable fabrics with a contemporary style

Designed by women and for women, the new collection of fabrics is created respecting the highest standards of sustainability throughout the working process – from yarn to fabric – top quality natural raw materials. From organic cotton to organic silk, from Tencel Micro to the innovative Cupro, the production chain is completely traceable.

Great novelty is the use of the most innovative natural fibres, such as Tencel Micro®, a plant-based fibre, which is extracted from cellulose of the eucalyptus trees from South Africa, whose cultivation is managed in a sustainable way. Fabrics made with this raw material are particularly silky and soft on the skin, giving a sensation of comfort and naturalness.

Albini donna proposes a wide range of fabrics, suitable for different moments in the day of a woman: flannel, poplin, velvet, cotton or Tencel Micro® combined with silk, are just some of the quality bases proposed. Fabrics for shirts, but not only.

The stylistic team of the brand has developed the EveryWear proposal, fabrics with heavier weights in cotton or blended with Tencel Micro®, specifically designed for clothing, to create women’s dresses, trousers or elegant jackets. The most on-trend patterns are the jacquard flowers on a Prince of Wales

base, the tapestry theme with designs developed in brown colours, double-faced fabrics for hyper-fashionable trousers, as well as checks, stripes and plains.

In the women’s wardrobe you can never miss the whites, those that speak of the tradition, the historical heritage of shirts, ideal for creating timeless garments. But not only.

Ample space is given to one of the next season’s ‘must have’: the check in its most classic black watch tartan version or made more contemporary with chenille yarns, more romantic when combined with baroque floral motifs or original with unusual transparency effects.

The universe of the stripes in the collection is manifold: simple and fresh verticals stripes or in barrè, but also stripes with fringes or with covered grounds. In their most elegant versions they are combined with paisley patterns.

The proposal of patters is enriched with original polka-dot motifs, geometrical houndstooth checks or autumnal designs inspired from the knitwear collections.

The colour card explores all the chromatics of autumn with colours ranging from warm tones such as yellow and burnt-umber, with touches of red and purple, and sophisticated shades of brown and pink or the classics navy blue and black.
