Albini Group participates at the first Italian edition of Vogue Forces of Fashion

In the evocative complex of the “ex Mattatoio” in the city of Rome, the first Italian edition of Forces of Fashion took place this October. This global-scale event, sponsored by Vogue, tells the story of the fashion world through the voices of its protagonists.

It was a unique gathering where the audience had the opportunity to meet those who design collections, those who experience them, and those who wear them, fostering a dialogue across generations, sensibilities, and attitudes.

The event, distinguished by a rich program of experiential spaces and talks, saw the participation of Albini Group as a central figure in the world of fashion.

In a talk moderated by Elisa Pervinca Bellini with the title “Fabrics of the Future: An Italian Innovation”, Stefano Albini, President of Albini, and Giorgia Carissimi, Textile Innovation Manager, shared insights into some projects developed by ALBINI_next related to the development of sustainable alternatives within the textile supply chain.

Among the showcased projects:

OFF THE GRAIN: an innovative and ambitious upcycling project born from the research efforts of ALBINI_next in collaboration with Riso Gallo. This project has resulted in a new type of dye derived from a byproduct of the food industry. It’s a natural coloring process with the concrete aim of safeguarding the planet.

GROUNDED INDIGO: a natural textile dye that emerges from the pursuit of more responsible dyeing practices. For the development of this project, ALBINI_next opted to collaborate with Stony Creek Colors, an American producer of the world’s only 100% plant-based indigo, certified USDA BioPreferred™.

EXTERIA: the pioneering project born from the collaboration between ALBINI_next and Colorifix, aiming to transition from synthetic dyes to colors derived from engineered microorganisms.

A central contribution comes from Tiziano Guardini, a Conscious Fashion Designer who has always chosen to have a conscious vision of fashion. He advocates for a design that originates from the exploration of highly sustainable and cruelty-free materials, where ethics and aesthetics are an indispensable combination.

Tiziano Guardini’s creative work aligns with the values promoted by Albini Group, becoming an expression of awareness in which nature serves as both the starting point and the destination of the creative process.
