ALBINI JOINS THE 2019 MILAN FASHION GLOBAL SUMMIT

Milan Fashion Global Summit, IBM Studios, 2019, October 21st

The MFGS-Milan Fashion Global Summit brings together the most important exponents of the sector and other eminent personalities from all over the world to discuss and analyze the new opportunities and challenges that the fashion and luxury sectors are facing in a market in continuous transformation.

The supply chain was the focus of the 2019 edition of the MFGS, which addressed the key issues of Italian excellence and the strategies of the largest luxury groups.

Among the speakers of the panel “Leader in the world, between research and sustainability” dedicated to textile companies, there was Daniele Arioldi, President and CEO of I Cotoni di Albini, Purchasing Manager of Raw Materials and Business Development Director of Cotonificio Albini. Arioldi talked about the traceability path undertaken by Albini Group, which started ten years ago and culminated in the creation of a technology able to guarantee the origin of fabrics: “These factors have totally revolutionized our relationship with the customer with whom a dialogue has been established and a pilot project linked to the sustainability of the supply chain has started. However, if up until a few years ago it was considered only a need for some niche client, this working method has now become the standard.”

Within the first edition of the MF Supply Chain Awards, the Albini Group was awarded for the GREEN CHAIN category. The company was singled out for its ALBINI_next project, which aims to identify the fabrics of the future and new, innovative and sustainable production processes, bringing natural fibers to high performance levels.
